Role Responsibilities
  • Electrical architecture and design, product requirements, component selection, analysis, schematic capture, and documentation.

Lunasonde is currently building out our digital design team. As an FPGA Design Engineer, you will focus on communication system blocks as part of complex ASIC and FPGA Soc products and will participate in numerous exciting and challenging activities in a fast-moving design environment.

A successful FPGA Design Engineer will have strong technical and analytical skills and be comfortable working and solving problems independently as well as collaboratively within a team. We look for engineers with initiative, persistence, curiosity, and good communication skills.

Role Responsibilities
  • Design, implement and integrate radio unit protocol layers from source models, along with block level micro-architecture design, coding, simulation, and documentation.
  • Take responsibility for resource/power optimization and design trade-off analysis, as well as block and chip level synthesis and timing closure.
  • Provide FPGA bring-up and system validation support.
  • Assume ownership of block level verifications, and participate in the full chip verification using UVM and/or system Verilog
  • Translate models written in either C/C++, MATLAB, or Python
  • Script and automate workflows

Required Skills & Competencies

General Objectives

The Exploration Geologist will support the Geological Exploration team at the company’s Arizona projects. The essential duties of the role include preparation, handling, and examination of diamond drill core or RC chips for geotechnical, geological, and analytical parameters. Required duties also will include core sample handling/collection, including safely lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. A significant portion of time will also be dedicated to geologic logging of drill core or RC chips (including identifying and describing lithologic, alteration, structure, and mineralized characteristic of rock); this will be performed by proficiently recording data utilizing computer devices and or/paper logs. Other field or warehouse-based activities include site review, and work in and around core drilling machines and excavation equipment, and possible time at an active mining site. High regard for safety is utmost.


Key Areas of Responsibilities and Duties
  • Prepare sampling and drill core materials for collection and assist geologic team with sample handling and collection of technical information.
  • Catalog and track progress of samples and drill core from collection to submission of samples to analytical laboratories or to sample storage.
  • Utilize company provided data collection devices (learning software) for data control.
  • Collection of geotechnical data from samples and/or rock material, as per parameters established procedures (i.e rock quality designation and recovery).
  • Collection of geological data (core logging; lithology, alteration, mineralization, sample designation).
  • Collection of rock chip, soil, or other raw geological media samples, including acquisition at remote locations (hiking).
  • Photography of core or other samples.
  • Split or mechanized saw cut core, bag core, or other rock material samples for preparation of analytical submission.
  • Prepare, sort, organize samples for archive storage or disposal.
  • Maintain quality assurance / quality control procedures.
  • Maintain and repair equipment used in sampling and field activities.
  • Maintain housekeeping of work areas, vehicles, and tools.

Minimum Qualifications and Skill Requirements

  • Experience in Porphyry Copper Deposits and Logging
  • Computer literacy and proficiency with common word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database software
  • Physical ability to: manage up to 50 lbs. lifting, walk/hike on uneven or rough terrain, work outdoors under natural conditions in all seasons, flexibility in work period frequency or duration (up 10 hours daily). 
  • Ability to drive 4 x 4 vehicle (desired)
  • Ability to provide own transportation to and from work site (normal road conditions)
